 BSNL, or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, is a government-owned telecommunications company in India. It was founded in 2000 and provides a range of services including landline, mobile, and broadband internet. BSNL is known for its widespread network coverage, especially in rural areas, and has historically been one of India's major telecom operators. Although private companies like Jio and Airtel have intensified competition in the telecom sector, BSNL continues to serve a large customer base with affordable plans and has a significant role in providing telecom access across the country..

BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) has engaged in partnerships with multiple companies to advance its telecommunications infrastructure. Recently, BSNL collaborated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to deploy a 4G network across India, primarily focusing on rural areas. This initiative, valued at around 15,000 crore INR, aims to enhance connectivity for over 1,000 villages and includes support from the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), which is assisting in setting up data centers and infrastructure for the network.



Additionally, BSNL has partnered with Echelon Edge to establish private 5G and LTE networks. This partnership allows Echelon Edge to utilize BSNL’s spectrum to offer dedicated 5G solutions for businesses across India, supporting the country’s digital transformation efforts. Together, these collaborations aim to position BSNL as a competitive player against private telecom operators in India's expanding digital landscape

Vijayawada:  In a shock to electricity consumers in the state, the AP Electricity Re- gulatory Commission (APERC) has given the green signal for collection of fuel and power purchase cost ad- justment (FPPCA) from con- sumers in the state. APERC has allowed discoms to collect fuel and power purchase cost adjust- ment charges to the tune of.  ₹6,072 crore   The commission has asked the discoms to collect ₹1,400 crore from state govt towards the agriculture Sector Charges. The discoms will increase the power Charges by ₹1 to 1.58 per unit from November 1st.        SPDCL will collect   ₹ 2394.74 crore while CPDCL will collect ₹4722.51 crore . EPDCL will mop up    ₹2358 crore Additional charges will be low during second quarter where it will go up by just. around 19 paise per unit while it will be as high as 1.58 per unit in the last six months from.
