Vijayawada:  In a shock to electricity consumers in the state, the AP Electricity Re- gulatory Commission (APERC) has given the green signal for collection of fuel and power purchase cost ad- justment (FPPCA) from con- sumers in the state.

APERC has allowed discoms to collect fuel and power purchase cost adjust- ment charges to the tune of.  ₹6,072 crore

 The commission has asked the discoms to collect ₹1,400 crore from state govt towards the agriculture Sector Charges.

The discoms will increase the power Charges by ₹1 to 1.58 per unit from November 1st.



  



   SPDCL will collect ₹2394.74 crore while CPDCL will collect ₹4722.51 crore. EPDCL will mop up   ₹2358 crore

Additional charges will be low during second quarter where it will go up by just. around 19 paise per unit while it will be as high as 1.58 per unit in the last six months from.
